We live in Oceanside, CA, which benefits from a mild atmosphere year ‘round. We certainly have need or a reliable heating and air conditioning system for those hot days and chilly nights, but by and large, one of the benefits of living here is that the temperatures never get too high or too low. For that reason, which often recommend heating pumps for our customers, who might not be aware of just what a great fit the technology is for the weather in our neck of the woods. Heat pumps make a lot of sense for cities with mile climates like our, and with installation from a reliable company, you can take advantage of all the benefits it has to offer.
How it Works
A heat pump is essentially a variation on an air conditioning system, which circulates refrigerant through a series of valves and coils that first bleeds hot air into the atmosphere (which usually takes place in the outdoor portion of the system), then pulls heat from the air (which takes place inside and creates cool air which can then be blown throughout your home). The only difference with a heat pump is that it contains a reversing valve, allowing you to release the heated air inside and the cool air outside. That allows the heat pump to serve as both a heater and an air conditioner in one single unit.
How It Benefits You
Because the heat pump uses refrigerant to generate warm air instead of using fuel, it tends to cost much less to run than other types of heater, lowing your monthly bills by a great deal in many cases. There’s also the added benefit of keeping your entire heating and cooling system in one unit, making maintenance and upgrade duties much easier than they might be for other systems.
